In May of 1998, the San Diego District Attorney Investigator’s Association (SDDAIA) established the Fallen Officers Fund (FOF). The fund was created for the purpose of rendering financial assistance to active San Diego or Imperial County Law Enforcement Officer in times of crisis. This fund assists local, state, and federal officers or their immediate family members who need financial assistance as a result of death, injury, illness, or any other tragedy. Below are examples of past types of situations when assistance has been provided:
